Programme information:

The full-time PhD programme will last for 3 years (for those who obtained MPhil)  to 4 years (for those who obtained taught master degree only). Students are required to complete 12 units lecture courses, thesis research courses and research seminars. Apart from course requirement, students are also required to submit a thesis on research work and attend an oral examination.

Entry Requirement:

- a Master's degree holder from a recognized university; or

- graduated from a recognized university and obtained a Bachelor's degree,

  normally with honours not lower than Second Class; or

- graduated from an honours programme of a recognized university with a

  Bachelor's degree, normally achieving an average grade of not lower than "B" ;or

- completed a course of study in a tertiary educational institution and obtained

  professional or similar qualifications equivalent to an honours degree.

English Language Proficiency Requirement

Applicants are required to submit one of the following original score reports/certificates for assessment by the programmes concerned:

- TOEFL (normally not lower than 550 Paper-based; 213 computer-based; and 79 internet-based);

- IELTS (Academic) (normally not lower than Band 6.5);

- GMAT (Verbal, normally not lower than 21)

Postgraduate studentship and tuition fee

Postgraduate Studentships will be provided for full-time RPg students registered for research degree programmes with a goal of PhD. Students awarded studentships will receive research postgraduate stipend. However, the student has to pay the required tuitions and miscellaneous fees.

- Tuition fee per annum for PhD students (Full-time) HK$42,100 (~USD5,400 per year)

- Postgraduate Studentship rates per month for RPG full time students: HKD 15,000 (USD~1,930 per month)
