Lauretta T. Quinn PhD, RN. Associate professor, University of Illinois at Chicago

Her presentation will review the critical role that nursing can play in clinical diabetes research. The presentation will be based on her own experience in clinical diabetes research over the last two decades.

Colleen Corte PhD, RN. Associate professor, University of Illinois at Chicago

Dr. Corte’s program of research is focused on identity impairments as a cognitive vulnerability for substance use and other risk behaviors in adolescents and young adults. She will present the findings of several studies and discuss implications and future directions.

Lorna Finnegan PhD, APN, CNP, Associate professor, University of Illinois at Chicago

Dr. Finnegan will discuss her current NIH-funded R01 study and how her program of research has evolved from her dissertation and preliminary studies.
